Nice going!

Nice and easy hike, with fantastic views, and a fantastic meal. Marek, our guide, was very friendly and knew a lot about History. On top, he gave us sound and useful tips about what to visit in Prague and some very nice restaurants.
Loved it.
A Nice Break from Prague

Well run and as advertised, a nice break to see more of the Czech Republic away from the crowds in Prague. Transport, guide (Pavla) and meal were all excellent. Would recommend.
unbelievable

If you are to do only one thing in czech republic outside of prague, let this be it. Fantastic day trip. We did the trip on 22 December 2022 in winter. Our Guide/driver was Mahek.

We were picked up from our hotel at 7.45 pm as was earlier intimated to us. It was a small van with capacity of 7 excluding the driver guide. In our group we had people from Saudi, Hongkong and America.

First stop was a small gas station for a small break after 1 hr. After 15 minutes we started for our first destination Tisca Rocks. We reached the parking lot after half an hour. Since Tisca Rocks area was completely snow covered, Maked helped us with snow grips. We spent almost 2-2.5 hours there. Its a mid level hike and a normal level of fitness is required. Lots of steps are there but nothing dangerous. Mahek guided us appropriately and every now and then enthralled us with stories of czech republic. He also gave us a glass of mulled wine since we were right in the middle of winter. It was a beautiful location with lots of photo opportunities. i guess in summer time it would be a different landscape, nonetheless it would be beautiful for sure. I am not even sure if they take people to this place in summer. But for winter, its a wonderland.

After the first destination, we travelled to a small town near the czech german border for our lunch. Lunch was at a four star hotel restaurant. The lunch was fantastic and was included in the package. We had beer and beef goulash. One can order other things from the menu.

After the fantastic lunch, we crossed the german border and reached our second destination. Bastei bridge in German part of the national park. From the parking lot, its a 10 minute walk to the entrance gate of Bastei. From the entrance, its again a 15 minute walk to the bridge. Its a completely different experience from the first destination. Bastei bridge is also unbelievably beautiful and gives a different perspective of the landscape. Equally photogenic, this place also was equally good as the first destination. After spending couple of hours there, we started for our return journey to prague.

After a brief stop at a mcdonalds on the highway, we reached prague around 6 pm.

We felt safe and well relaxed with Mahek. He knows what he is doing and he is a local. He is from the town where we had our lunch. So he knows the national park really well. And he was well informed about the history of czech republic and we never felt bored in his company. The other travellers with us also enjoyed his company.

At first we though the trip costs is a bit expensive, but after doing the trip, we are so glad that we did the trip. We would have missed out on a great part of czech republic had we not gone there. Also during our 12 days in czech, Tisca Rocks is the only place where we got complete white wonderland feelings. Ofcourse, noone can take a credit or can be blamed for the weather as its not in our hands. But even without the snow, in summer also, this trip would be absolute must. And doing it with Northern hikes would give you the feeling of accomplishment and a rare guided day trip worth taking.
Amazing scenery

Amazing natural wonder. Aside from all the castles and architecture of Czech, it was wonderful to see the natural wonder/formations. The trek up the hill is steady incline but it is hard if u have fast walkers in group. Guide (Martin) was amazing, patient (as I wasn't 100%), and knowledgeable. Highly recommended but be prepared to walk! It may be more spectacular during fall
Beautiful views and a great guide

Martin was a fantastic guide! Very personable and knowledgable. The tour itself, however, was a little disappointing as an outdoor excursion. We expected more actual hiking but this tour was just a brief glimpse of 2 very beautiful areas in a very easy walking tour. This would be a great tour for families or older folks.
