I visited Prague with a friend over the weekend. General cluelessness and not having a plan resulted in us ending up in a random bar. It was empty, music sucked, life was sad.
Next to us sat a guy. He looked like his soul left his body a long time ago.
He told us about this crazy bar crawl he did last night. Apparently he had the time of his life. His appearance told a different story. Although this établissement runs with the slogan “the best night you will never remember” his tellings went with excruciating detail into places I wasn't prepared for.
Out of frustration and being in a rather suicidal mood we decided to give it a shot the next day.
The only clue we got from this dude was something like “people with green shirts below the clocktower”. And sure enough, we found them. One of them brought us to a location very close to charles bridge. Entrance is just a few hundred czk, nothing too dramatic. It's underground and damn, that place is actually nice. Fully packed, good music, games and a great atmosphere. How come that dude from yesterday looked like someone performed an exorcism on him?
The idea is to stay at this location for 2.5h with free drinks to warm up. After that, and if you still qualify to walk more or less straight, you´ll go to 2 other bars and end up in a nightclub afterwards. We had an amazing time. Luckily we made loads of great contacts quicker than we managed to get hammered. What a night. What night??
For me it became some sort of tradition that whenever I visit the Czech capital, one night is dedicated to the clock tower bar crawl.
Totally worth your time!
