What To Expect

Join your guide for the afternoon walk in the footsteps of Czech kings all the way to the Prague Castle. First, we'll hop on a tram to bring us up the Prague Castle. But we won’t see it just from the outside. Let your guide take you in. See its history better. Up close. Personal. We’ll go through all the most important buildings in the Castle – St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and a Golden Lane.

After a short walk you’ll see one of the most magnificent baroque churches in Prague – the church of St. Nicolas. Its majestic dome can be seen from most places in the city center. We’ll stop on Kampa Island to see love-locked bridge as well as the famous John Lennon’s Wall. Lastly, we'll tell you the story of magnificent Charles Bridge, which was the only way across the river throughout the medieval ages.

Jack is an excellent tour guide. He had a wealth of knowledge on the subject matter but also due to his general interest and love for the city he has personal likes and interests which he peppers in throughout the tour which made it more fun. It was an enjoyable and full way to spend an evening in one of the most beautiful, vibrant and lively cities in the world.

This was a great way to get out and about, while seeing some classic Prague highlights, and learning a lot of history along the way. Guided from the town square, our guide, Michal, kept up the information all the way, showing us on a local tram (thus saving us from an uphill walk), and then all through the Prague Castle and associated squares and churches. He was a great guide - always willing to answer questions, even my ones about day to day Czech life, and he impressed us all by having so much information about Saints, Kings, and dates in his head. Highly recommended tour to get an insight into the history of this beautiful city.

The tour was a good length, and covered the main aspects of the Castle and surroundings.

Our tour guide, Michal, was very knowledgeable and took the time to get to know the people in the group. He was super friendly, and his English was flawless (from native English speakers). We were most impressed with how the information was not just what we could have found easily on Wikipedia, but clearly gathered and tailored with years of experience. Michal was also very knowledgeable about Prague and Czech Republic history generally, and was more than happy to answer all questions thrown his way. We'd highly recommend it.
